From Shu Uemura appeared a shade of red lipstick, which, as promised, is suitable for everyone. We decided to check it on three editors and suggest that you speak: suitable? Or is it not?

This unique lipstick — Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited in shade RD163 (have a brilliant finish and matte). Creative Director of the brand Cacuaco Uchiide was looking for a balance between warm and cool undertone. Tested the shades more than 3,000 volunteers. Finally got the lipstick, which, we are promised, will adapt to any appearance.

With a radiant finish

With a matte finish

On hearing this, we decided to carry out the experiment. Invited official makeup artist of Shu Uemura in Russia Marina Mironov make up three insiders with different type of appearance and shades-tones-photoname skin thereby RD163 — and, for comparison, some other red, which is not very. (To obtain this “any other red”, Marina had to mix different shades.)

Look at what happened in the end and ask you to vote really goes? However, not going? Or was it just a matter of taste? -)

Model: Julia

Julia, a fan of red lipsticks (in the collection of more than 100 pieces): I do not believe that there is a red lipstick, which wasn’t working for me. Any color can be beat. And very much in the perception of “like — not like” depends on what you yourself are inwardly ready. Therefore the experiment especially interesting to me.

RED, WHICH IS NOT

Marina Mironova, makeup artist Shu Uemura: Wrong Julia lipstick — dark and dense. There are mixed purple and brown shades. They provide a sharp contrast with the pale cold skin and bright blue eyes.

Julia: I Usually prefer a more bright and warm red. And without gloss. Brown undertone do I like the least, and the violet makes the make-up more cold than I now like.

SHU UEMURA RD163

Marina: Julia loves matte lipsticks, so I chose Rouge Unlimited matte finish. Struck as they like to do in Japan — without a clear path.

Julia: that’s what I like about red lipsticks! Shu Uemura, you’ve tested the pigment on 3000 volunteers is not in vain!

Makeup Julia Marina used: tonal fluid Petal Skin, Glow On blush (shade Medium Amber 750), eyebrow pencil Hard Formula (shade 02) and shadow Pressed Eyeshadow (shade 832).

    Model: Masha

Masha: When I dyed my hair in Burgundy shade, red lipsticks avoided — where so much red in one image?! And then tried, and was right wow. I wonder how it will look RD163 with my hair color?

    RED, WHICH IS NOT

Marina: Mary has a cold undertone skin and hair. Therefore, a warm orange-red lipstick would be too stand out sharply on his face.

Mary: Actually I’m not against the orange lipsticks. Especially translucent. But this particular one is too brown and crisp. However, if I now have dark hair a natural shade or even sun-bleached blond, it would look more natural.

    SHU UEMURA RD163

Marina: For Masha I chose the Rouge Unlimited lipstick with a glossy finish and put it clearly on the contour.

Masha: Beautiful! The shade is great — brighter hair and a little in a different key, but the blanket pulls. And finish I like — brilliant-glossy as I like.

Makeup Masha Marina used: hydrating primer Block Booster BB cream BB Perfector, for cheeks mixed two shades of Glow On blush matte coral 345 and peach with shimmer 540. On the eyebrows I applied the gel Manicure Eyebrow.

      Model Lisa

Lisa: I love red lipsticks, but always choose cool shades. So emphasize the white teeth and the contrast with the color of the eyes.

      RED, WHICH IS NOT

Marina: Lisa ash blonde — cool roots, but discernible warm colors along the length of the hair. If you take a warm lipstick with neon pigment to get the effect “face separately, lips apart.”

Lisa: Now once again proved that warm colors are absolutely not playing on my looks.

      SHU UEMURA RD163

Marina: Like for Masha, Lisa, I chose the shade of Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited RD163 with a glossy finish.

Lisa: Shade and really is super-cool! Matt lipsticks I was already a little tired, but the glossy red is what you need. With the lipstick, by the way, took place till the evening, and she looked very decent during the day, to withstand even the test of a Burger and a few cups of coffee 🙂 to wash out it turned out only product. Not dry, not sticky, stays in the measure, not floating over the lines without the pencil.

Makeup Lisa Marina used: primer-mousse Poreraser, hue Lightbulb, liquid Foil Eye shadow (shade Champagne Gold), Glow blush On (shade Medium Amber 750) on the eyebrows and eyelashes apply the gel Eyebrow Manicure.

By the way, the company to RD163 the brand released a limited edition red shade Pes, which are only sold in the online store.

Marina: Shade, though red, but translucent. To shade was richer and brighter, use a primer.

As for the tricks of drawing, I especially like the Japanese technique: the shadow put in the centre of the lid and then shade up and on the sides like beams from the sun.
