Body scrub is a universal remedy that can be useful in many cases. It helps exfoliate dead upper layers of the epidermis, nourishes and saturates the skin, gives it a healthy look; some types of scrubs are able to fight cellulite and localized fat deposits. Besides, scrub is just a pleasant procedure that relaxes and tones at the same time.

But in order not to spend money on quality scrubs, you can make similar products from natural ingredients at home.

Light scrub-mask

Thanks to its delicate structure, this scrub is suitable for the skin of the face. It does not injure it, but feeds it with useful ingredients.

You will need it:

  • Natural yogurt without dye and sugar.
  • Coconut chips.
  • Sugar.

For 100 ml. of yogurt we add a tablespoon of chips and a tablespoon of sugar. Knead and apply the mixture to the cleansed face. Leave for 7 minutes and rinse with warm water, making circular movements. Do not press hard not to scratch the skin.

After this scrub, the skin will be soft and fresh, and the smell of coconut will give it a light aroma.

Hard body scrub

This scrub is recommended to be applied only to problem areas, such as the stomach and legs. Do not apply to the bend in the knee, chest and inside of the hands.

We will need a glass of coffee beans. We need to grind them into small crumbs. This is best done in a mortar, but any metal or wooden container will do. The resulting crumb is soaked for 15 minutes in hot water.

At this time we soak the skin in the bathroom or take a hot shower. Then we put this scrub on feet and a stomach and rub it. Rubbing is necessary on outflows of lymphs, circular movements no more than 5 minutes on a zone.

The advantage of this scrub is that it gives the skin a light chocolate aroma and a dark shade, so if you want to quickly create a tanning effect, this option is for you.

Soft body scrub

A softened and more nutritious version of the previous scrub. It is necessary:

  • ¼ cup of ground coffee.
  • ¼ cup of rice.
  • Kefir – half a glass.

Rice is ground in a blender or grinder. Knead all the ingredients until you get the porridge and leave them in the fridge for half an hour. Then apply to the face skin for 5 minutes or apply during bathing procedures. Similarly – in circular movements on the outflow of lymph.

Wash scrub

We’re gonna need it:

  • Two glasses of sugar.
  • 0.5 liquid shower gel.
  • Any moisturising oil (can be flavoured).

Mix the ingredients, apply to a brush, sponge or sponge and rub the scrub. The consistency of the scrub should be similar to wet sand, so if it is not thick enough, add more sugar. Do not press hard as hard grains of sugar can damage the delicate skin in some areas.

Wash without soap, scrub and soothing enough.

Nourishing facial scrub

This scrub nourishes dry skin perfectly and has a positive effect on age-related changes. It is better to use on a steamed face; leave it – it will spoil.


  • Oatmeal in half-glass flakes.
  • Cream 50 ml.
  • Honey 1 tablespoon.

Grind oatmeal in a blender or coffee grinder, mix first with cream, then add honey. Apply the oatmeal to the face and rub it in a circular motion until the oatmeal is saturated with cream.

How to apply the scrubs correctly?

There are certain conditions:

  • If the scrub is applied to the face, it is necessary to make smooth circular movements from the chin to the forehead. So you will not stretch the skin, but, on the contrary, will have an anti-aging effect.
  • If the scrub is applied to the body, you need to make circular movements with a stronger pressure from the bottom up (according to the lymphatic outflow).
  • You can’t scrub gentle body parts, such as chest, leg fold (you can damage veins), inner side of hands, neck. Control the pressure so that you do not feel uncomfortable.

Useful tip: Vitamin E can be added to any scrub, which is sold in pharmacies and home flavors.

These scrubs are easy to prepare at home, they are very useful for the skin and save you money.
