Scientists have explained why people suddenly become repugnant to common sounds.
Psychiatrists from the University of Amsterdam have conducted a new study, intending to reveal a secret misophone (aversion to sound). Disorder in which a person experiences irritation from everyday sounds.
– We are still unknown which provokes misohoni. The people themselves too are unable to explain it, because there are sounds that some people quietly listen while others can’t stand him – says member of the research group Yakov SWNT.
Some scientists believe that the appearance of the disorder depends on how the brain perceives sound signals. When misophone he reacts too sharply to more intense sounds, perceiving them to be hostile. As a consequence, people have irritation and anxiety.
To prove this, researchers conducted an experiment. His goal was to find the reaction of volunteers to the movie where people loudly or smacking their lips, breathing deeply.
As a result, prospective patients were having anger, rage and disgust. They have also started strongly beating heart.
Scientists believe that misogony to be included in the list of neurological disorders and prescribe appropriate treatment.
