Breast-feeding proved to be an important condition for the normal weight of the child.
Experts of the European regional office of the world health organization conducted a study in which analyzed the causes of the development of obesity in children. All studied data on the health of 13.7 million children ages 6 to 9 years, living in 21 European countries. Of these, 400 thousand children have extreme obesity, and one in five is overweight. While scientists have been able to find a relationship between breastfeeding and the subsequent development of the child, namely its weight in the Junior school age.
It turned out that children who are never fed breast milk, or did it only from time to time, had a higher risk of obesity later in life. Prolonged breast-feeding breast milk reduces the risk of the emergence of obesity from 13 percent.
In this regard, the world health organization gave advice on feeding toddlers. So, during the first six months of life a newborn must be fed only breast milk. Then you can start gradually accustomed to baby food, but continue to breastfeed. To continue breastfeeding, according to experts who need at least two years.
At the moment, the problem with childhood obesity is serious in all developed countries of the world. Because of this, more and more children at an early age are faced with diseases of the cardiovascular system and beyond.
