Scientists came to the conclusion that most people do not need to follow any complicated rules in order to maintain your normal weight.
The experts at the Harvard school of public health named after T. H. Chan and Boston children’s hospital believe that most people to maintain a healthy weight simply eat quality food.
Scientists have refuted the theory that there are optimal proportion of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, which should adhere to for everyone. According to the new theory, healthy diet is one that combines all three rules.
The basic rule is the choice of quality products. That is, should eat natural products that do not contain in the composition a variety of dyes, preservatives and genetically modified ingredients.
The second rule is to replace refined carbohydrates for whole grains. This means that the choice should be given preference for wholegrain products. For example, whole wheat bread, brown rice, unprocessed grains.
The third rule is to replace saturated fat with unsaturated. It is also easier than it seems – enough to use when cooking less oil, giving preference to olive, linseed, peanut and other oils that contain healthy unsaturated fatty acids.
According to the authors of the study, compliance with these rules is sufficient to maintain a healthy weight and provide the body with useful substances.
