Scientists are studying hangovers not so long ago, but there are several points of view. Some researchers assume that the dizziness, nausea and cognitive disorders is the immune system’s response to intoxication by alcohol. Others believe that all the fault of acetaldehyde, which the liver processes the ethanol. However, a number of studies have shown that the level of acetaldehyde is not associated with the severity of the hangover. Another point is that the severity of the hangover is not so much the alcohol as its metabolite concomitant products produced during fermentation, which are responsible for taste and color.
The whole difficulty lies in the fact that from the point of view of molecular biology, scientists do not fully understand what a hangover.
